| The morning dawns bright sunny in Zamunda, a small African monarchy, it is the 21st birthday of Crown Prince Akeem (Eddie Murphy), he is told by his father, King Jaffe Joffer (James Earl Jones) that he must marry a woman he is never seen before. Akeem decides that he wants to find his own wife so he sets of to find this woman, he decides that the most likely place to find a proper woman is “Queens” New York in the United States. Along with his best friend Semmi (Arsenio Hall) he sets off on his hilarious search for the perfect Queen. The fact that Akeem is a Prince must be a secret as they pass themselves off as “typical” American citizens in order to find the proper bride. |
