Plot |
Some two years after the events at the climax of the TV series, the Fullmetal Alchemist Edward Elric (Romi Pak) remains trapped on Earth in 1920s Germany. Living with his Father Hoenheim (Masashi Ebara) and the Earth equivalent of his brother Al (Rie Kugimiya), Ed has spent the last two years studying rocketry whilst his brother, whom remains in their world has become an expert alchemist in his own right, albeit with total memory loss regarding his time in armour. The actual plot of the movie revolves around post-war Germany and the lead up to World War II. A chance encounter with the gypsy Noah (Miyuu Sawai) leads Ed to the Thule Society, who are seeking to open a portal to a world they call Shamballa so as to amass more power for their Fuhrer. It quickly becomes clear, however, that Shamballa is in fact Ed’s home world and the Thule Society’s plan is likely to jeopardize both his home and Earth. Ed puts into motion a plan to stop the Thule Society, but, unbeknownst to him Al is threatening to undo it all by trying to reach his long lost brother. |
